Family Friendly Days Out
When you’re enjoying a break, it is always important to spend time with those around you. Luckily, our park is located close to a variety of family friendly attractions. Nearby there is Greenlands Farm Village. Here there is an open farm, plenty of places to eat and a small retail area.
As we are on the border of the Lake District, Cumbria and North Yorkshire, there are even more places to go. South Lakes Safari Zoo is ideal for those who love animals. The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere offers an insight into the famous author. Finally, the White Scar Caves in Ingleton are great for explorers.
Local Heritage Locations
The Carnforth Station Heritage Centre is close to our park and holds regular exhibitions. Additionally, it is well known for its appearance in the film ‘Brief Encounter’. If country homes are of interest to you, then a trip to Leighton Hall is worthwhile. As well as being able to take a tour of the house, you can explore the gardens as well as the birds of prey display.
Another location worth visiting includes the nearby city of Lancaster. You can trace history back here into at least the Roman period, offering a variety of heritage locations. Lancaster Castle provides an insight into the history of the area and the city museum covers the history of the Kings Own Regiment.
